I was Driving into Baltimore the Other Day.

I have probably the worst sense of direction than any other living being on this planet.  Years ago my friend Joann used to say you could put me in the parking lot, spin me around 3 times, and I would never find my apartment again. Ever.

GPS devices are a modern-day miracle for people like me. And although I have a (slightly) better sense of direction these days, I still never leave home without my GPS.

A few weeks ago I was on my way to a doctor’s appointment.

I had an idea of  where I was going, but always the faithful following, self-doubter, I went where the GPS told me to go.

I was in the middle of the S. Hanover St. Bridge when I heard my GPS announce,
It wasn’t until several hours later when it occurred to me.
Even my damn GPS is trying to kill me.

Ok, so obviously I’m not an artist, and perhaps I’m getting a little paranoid in my old age.

OMG, that’s hysterical. Your GPS isn’t the only one trying to kill it’s owner. Mine took me through every bad neighborhood in Baltimore on my way home from a wedding last year in the middle of the night. The wedding wan’t far from 695 but it took me the longest possible route away from 695. I was cursing it and screaming at it to stop lying to me. When it told me to take route 40 out of the city (the really bad part that ends up in catonsville but starts where the major gangs live and shoot each other) I decided to find my own way through the city having a vague idea of another way to get back to 695. They are evil devices hell bent on tricking us into trusting them and then murdering us with cleverly planned routes.
